John Bruce successfully defends a 'Never Event'

Attorney John Bruce obtained a defense verdict on behalf of four nurses and a hospital in a case involving a so-called “Never Event”. The plaintiff alleged that the defendant nurse were each negligent in assessing the plaintiff’s fall risk status, and failing to implement a variety of fall precautions. The case involved interesting issues involving “Never Events”, statutory reports, and admissibility of otherwise privileged information. After a twelve day trial, a jury found in favor of all defendants.
